history of success

Columbus High School Men's Soccer's last few seasons stand as a pinnacle of success. In 2023, the Blue Devils earned the top rank in 3A, #6 in Georgia across all classifications, and an impressive #24 in the United Soccer Coaches National Poll. The team not only clinched their 5th region title since 2016, but also boasted an exceptional roster. Five players were named to the Region 1-AAA 1st Team All-Region, four on the 2nd Team All-Region, and the team proudly celebrated two Player of the Year recipients: Jackson Biggs (2024, ST) and Ryan Collins (2025, GK). Additionally, 8 players were named to the 2023 All-Chattahoochee Valley Team.

These accomplishments follow the remarkable achievements of 2022, where the Blue Devils, in an unprecedented feat, completed an undefeated regular season, claimed the Region 2-AAAA Championship, and reached the Semifinals of the GHSA State Tournament. Their prowess was reflected in a #6 MaxPreps National Ranking and a historic #3 ranking across all classifications in Georgia. With 112 goals scored and only 11 conceded, they left an indelible mark on the field. The accolades continued with multiple members of the team earning All-Region honors, including Coach of the Year (Coach Torres), Goalkeeper of the Year (Ryan Collins), Defender of the Year (Jace Cecalupo), and Overall Player of the Year (Dante Johnson) for Region 2-AAAA. Dante Johnson would go on to make his professional debut for Birmingham Legion in 2023.

hometown dominance

Columbus High School has established itself as the top soccer school in Columbus and surrounding areas with an overall record of 57-4 against local opponents, including St. Anne Pacelli, Northside, Brookstone, LaGrange, Harris County, and Auburn, since 2016.

The matches against St. Anne Pacelli and Northside High School attract the largest crowds for any soccer match in Columbus, and they always produce great performances from each team. Columbus High School currently holds a dominant 11-2 record against Pacelli since 2010* and has only lost to Northside once (2007). The most recent match against Pacelli ended in a 6-0 win for Columbus, and the most recent match against Northside ended in an 10-0 win for Columbus.

tools for success

College recruitment is a complicated process that no student-athlete should have to navigate alone. Our athletes have access to tools that will help them get in front of, and standout to college coaches. Not only do we film every match, we offer free video editing services to help our players create highlight videos, every touch videos, timestamped full-length match videos, and more. Additionally, we offer an in-depth college recruiting course for student-athletes beginning their freshman year of high school. The course includes detailed guides and templates, as well as 1-on-1 sessions to help student-athletes identify and target their best fit. Furthermore, our seniors have the opportunity to earn their U.S. Soccer National D License as part of their senior project.
